Evangelism

something i read recently:

The first requirement of postmodern evangelism is not that you are a good talker but that you are a good listener. In the rush of today's world, the gift of attention is one of the best gifts you can give someone. People don't have time to listen to one another.

- In Real Time, Mike Glenn
this really resonated with me. i don't claim to know much or be well-versed in the principles of evangelism but experience and observation (as well as biblical examples; read around pages 120+ here if you're interested!) cannot help but lead one to believe that we can love people (as we are very explicitly commanded to) by giving them attention instead of demanding it. and really, it's a joy to do so for it helps us further contemplate and understand the giving nature of God's love :)

song :)

hello friends!
the past few weeks haven't been the best (well, for me). sometimes everything is so shaky, we feel so insecure, the future uncertain. emotions rocky and people unreliable. but amidst all this, we will praise God for he is our solid rock! and His holy, perfect and loving character never changes. as psalm 121 goes,

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

amen :) and here's a song that i hope encourages you

enjoy! God bless you all.
