Begin Living

For those who are weary, He will give you rest.
For those who are anxious, He will grant you peace of mind.
For those who are sick, He will heal.
Just trust in Him with all your heart, for there is nothing that the Creator of this world cannot do.

We neglect God all too often in our daily hustle and bustle, trying to get things done by our own strength, and forgetting that He is the one who provides the strength for us to get by each day. As we now face our different trials and tribulations, it is always a great reminder to know that Jesus will give us the strength to get by. And Gerald just gave these words of encouragement to me yesterday. If there's any obstacle we're facing, no matter how big, God will always grant us the strength and grace to get through it. He's bigger.

And no matter how much we've pushed Him away from us, He's always there when we need Him. Life seems unfair doesn't it? Yet we're being the unfair ones when we leave God so often and expect Him to be there for us when we're down. But yet, thanks to His undying love and mercy, He'll never fail. He wants more than anything for us to be reunited with Him, to draw close to Him and just revel in His presence. Surely such a great God shouldn't be underestimated and taken for granted?

So let us always turn to Him first whenever we face our problems. Let us always praise Him in good times and in bad. We tend to only praise God when things are going well, and curse Him when life is rough. Or we cry out to Him for help in times of trial, but ignore Him when we're doing all fine. Worship should be a lifestyle, a 24 hour thing. Devoting our lives as living sacrifices.

An issue I'd like to bring up. I know we have our detractors. Those who view us as some cult of sorts. Just a reminder not to be discouraged. Even as we embark on our task to save our 50 souls, pray for wisdom, pray for patience, pray for guidance. God never said it would be easy. Those who chose to follow Him would have to lay down everything, and undergo great suffering. Are we prepared to do that? Some of you might have heard, that if we don't know what we'd be willing to die for, we haven't begun living. Are we willing to die for the Lord?

This post is meant to be more of an encouragement to those who are in need of it. Its something to spur us all on, that despite our worldly troubles, we'll eventually win the prize we have waiting for us in heaven. And to help all our unsaved friends, get to know this wonderful God, and share our joy.

Maybe this post didn't capture what I wanted to say very well. I'm tired, we're all stressed. But in the end, its all just human failings. Only God can show you the way, and only He can help you through all your problems. Lean on Him.

Proclaiming God's grace,

Shine for Jesus

Just to supplement from friday's testimonial, I'm open and i'm here if anyone of you ever needs someone to confide to.

Ok back to the topic, aren't we all made to glorify God? Even Satan exists to glorify God. Through the temptations, through such horrible times when i lacked the stregnth to resist sinning, God is glorified in the utmost end. So what are we doing to glorify God? Are we shining for Jesus? If not, why so? As we all know John 3 : 16, God gave His Son to die for our sins. Jesus lived the life of a human for OUR sins. What are we doing to repay His love and blessings? We've all been blessed bountifully yet we aren't doing nuts to repay the love that has been showered upon us.

So what's stopping you from shining for Jesus? In "Anyway" a poem by Mother Teresa, the final stanza says this: "You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway." Stop all your voulgarities, it's not cool. Why bother using "damn", its not an adjective. Why use "freak" or "shit" when we have the intention of using the f word and those are merely just cover ups for it. I admit i am guilty of using such words sometimes. But let's try together to stop using them ok? :) God is hurt as we continually use such words. Let's all be good testimonies for God ^^

One more thing, i hate studying. But, God gave you that brain, that talent and that intelligence, so make full use of it. Start studying and maximising your talents, be it a leader or anything.
Just make the most out of it :)

P.S. If you need someone to confide into, there's always me :)

In the Lord's service,
Ah Lua

Feed My Lambs

It's been a long week. It's been a tiring week. Perhaps it's time we sheep learn to rest in God. Be led by Him into green pastures - beside the still waters - and wait for the restoration of strength and passion. I've been tired, I've missed Quiet Times, and there must be many out there who need rest as well :)

fifty souls in eighteen days - I'm sure we've all heard the challenge. But hearing is one thing - how are we to respond?

Jesus sent us out like sheep among wolves, to bring the other sheep back into the pen, where He can protect them and give them great joy. Who is there out there who has not known Christ yet? Love His sheep. Revival is all about loving God - and loving the sheep He had created!

I tried - and it wasn't an instant success. I tried - but it wasn't easy speaking about God. I tried - and (perhaps a part of me) felt it was a futile effort, and that it wouldn't make a difference other than deplete my time for homework. I tried - and 'failed'.

But that is what the devil hopes to make us believe - my friends. He wants us to believe that it is all in vain, it is all futile, and it will never work out. But our dear brother Xunliang shared: "With man it is impossible (for people to enter the kingdom of God), but with God everything is possible." Amen.

The time has come - to start witnessing - to start loving - to start reaching out. It'll be tough, but that's what the gatherings are for - to refresh ourselves - to encourage one another.

"(insert your name here) ____ do you love me?"

"Yes I do Lord" (most of you, all of you do right?)

"Feed my Lambs"

So let's start doing that - tell all the other sheep about the great shepherd we have found. and remember, if we do get lost or stumble on the way - Jesus will be there - leaving the flock behind, to search high and low for you - and when He finds you...well...:)

In the Faith of Jesus Christ,
