As you all know, for the past week and in the next few days to come, we shall be faced with the unnerving ordeal of receiving our results and getting back our common test papers. Whatever the verdict may be, let's strive to honour and give thanks to our Father in heaven in every circumstance! It may seem a tall order, especially if you're being weighed down by tiresome emotions like disappointment, frustration, anxiety or even envy. But let us lift up all of this to the Lord :) Here are some verses of encouragement:
Psalm 107:1:
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Job 2:10:
He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
Psalm 73:
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Habakkuk 3:
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18:
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
In love, Rachel miao.
