Reflector- Planet Shakers
Since i've found your love
I've never needed anything to fill my heart
Even when i fall
You're always there with open arms to pick me up
From the start i knew
No one else could make me feel the way you do
Everyday i want to grow
Just a little bit closer, just a little bit closer
I want to be a reflector
I want to shine with your glory
I want to let the whole world know that you're
Living in me
I want to burn with your fire
Shine my light a little brighter
I want to let the whole world know that
Jesus Lives in me
This song contains so many messages for us, as God's children. Well, when i listened to the song, the first thing that struck me was that we should be actively going out and minstering to others. I've realised that i am quite a passive Christian. If anyone asks me whether i am a Christian, i would say yes and that would be the end of the conversation. A perfect opportunity to speak to others about my faith and my beliefs has just been wasted.
I've been praying about this and the roundabout evangelism is really a great platform for us to reach out to others who have their doubts about christianity but don't know who to approach. I'm sure in acsi, everyone knows about God from the weekly chapel services but not everyone has a personal and intimate relationship with Him. So, let's prepare our hearts and go forth and spread the word of God with all our brothers and sisters in school(: and show everyone what a difference it makes with when Jesus lives in [us]! Let's all strive to be shining examples of His children (:
even to your close friends, who are skeptical and ask you many questions, try not to start getting defensive. Instead, answer their questions with love as Christ would. If ministering to them fails once, don't be afraid to try again (: Let's look on the positive side. At least they're willing to ask questions and that's the very first step to getting to know Christ.
1 Peter 3:15, "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (NIV)
with love,
liana
