term three/studying

Hello ACSians! I'm sure that you've all recently heard about the verdict regarding the reopening of schools. With the CTs looming ahead and all for the year fives and sixes, perhaps you feel like you've lost precious time you were confident of being granted to prepare for the exams. However, I'd like to challenge all of us to respond with attitudes and actions pleasing to God by not having a grumbling spirit but a trusting and cheerful one, like as described in Philippians 2:14 :) Also, let's take the opportunity during this especially anxiety-laden period of time to share the love and peace of our heavenly father with our friends, classmates and teachers.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
So brothers and sisters, do press on in your mugging/cramming, and take care not to fall into the traps of slothfulness or idolatry! If you've been undisciplined or unable to get down to studying, know that God sees laziness is a sin. And if you find yourself getting distracted you could study in a group, also taking the chance to pray with each other! At the other end of the spectrum, if you've been letting your studies assume a greater importance in your life than what is desirable, perhaps it's time to reflect and pray.

Whatever we do, our studies should be an avenue through which God can be glorified.. Yet so often we see this principle being applied in reverse (thinking of God as a means to help me study better). As we come to the end of the June holidays, I pray that we will return to school next week not haggard and burdened, but refreshed and with hearts on fire for God, desiring His glory :D
