haha I noticed it's been a while since the last post, so here goes =) and don't worry it'll be short >< promise ="D?
It just struck me how easy it is to just let QT slip by for one day, and then for another day, and the next.. Especially during the holidays. And frighteningly, life goes on. Each day passes like any other day... How easy it is to feel as though we don't need God, that we can just do it all on our own. And often that's what the devil wants us to think, tempting us with the control over our own destiny, just as Adam and Eve were tempted in the Garden of Eden.
The drone of life sets in. But soon so does the emptiness as well. And in those fleeting moments throughout the day, suddenly you remember a time, when not too long ago, or perhaps a little too long ago, you basked in His presence and His love, relishing a moment of such deep peace and inner joy. Perhaps it was that time when you stepped into church and felt your spirits surge during worship, or maybe that night when you knelt in prayer, filled with desperation and longing... And He answered, ever so gently, ever so indulgently.
And in that moment, we remember who and what we were made for.
So I urge you, my brothers and sisters, wherever your walk with God is right now, remember that time when you felt His love and experienced the peace only He can give. Let that moment keep you going on in your QT everyday, that moment of drawing close to the Father and resting at His feet, just as Mary did. And if you're still waiting for that moment; let me leave you with these wise words from the book of Life, "You will seek me and find me, when you seek with me with all your heart, I will be found by you," declares the Lord (Jeremiah 29:13-4).
Don't let the holidays slip by! =)
God bless,
Petrina
